On rare occasions does one find a truly original idea. Gilbert Tanner, chief of the chemistry section of the pathology laboratory at Latter Day Saints Hospital in Salt Lake City, had just such an idea. On January 7th of this year, the 10 person chem lab staff began a 26 week per year work schedule. The system consists of working one seven day week of 10 hours per day followed by seven days off. What triggered such an idea? I guess you would say the idea came to me because I am rather lazy and resented the fact that so much of my time was tied up in scheduling people for weekends, holidays and vacation periods. I just had to do something to get out of doing this much work. What problems are there with salaries? There was little conflict with the salary because the people were. It. It's chicken out special time again. Whoopee. I knew you'd like that. Yeah, whoopee. What's so special? I'm hungry. Oh, right. Chicken out is combining two pieces of chicken with a roll and a salad, putting it with your choice of a tart or pudding for only 99 cents. Gee, 99 is a lot. No, 99 cents. If you're hungry, you better order right. Seven chicken out specials, please. And a chicken out pizza. A pizza dessert. What was that? A streaker. Ah, come on. He's fully dressed instead of, you know. Yeah, he's streaking a chicken out to get their new barbecue sandwich. Oh, you're pushing my leg. He could be streaking a chicken out to get a hoagie sandwich. Chicken out now has hoagie sandwiches, you know. But he's got his clothes on. That isn't streaking. He could be streaking the chicken out for a freshly made pizza roll that good. Chicken out chicken. But he isn't in the. Well, you know, he isn't in the. That's okay. The chicken out chicken comes without fetas. Besides chicken out streakers blush a lot. Glad. Trick or treat. The treat. A chicken out. A chicken out. Yeah. This Halloween, all day, you get two pieces of chicken, a rolling salad and plus a pumpkin tart for just 96 cents. All of that for 96 cents? Yeah. Two pieces of chicken, a roll, a salad and a pumpkin tart for 96 cents. That's enough to make me change my biting habits. Yeah. The treat's a chicken out. Say hi to Ernie and Rita while you're there. Thank you. Maybe I can give you a little treat next Halloween. I can hardly wait. By the way, who's your dentist? Ah, our first contestant. Now, Mrs. Armbruster, if you get all the answers right, you'll win Fort Knox. Who is buried in Grant's tomb? Grant. Right. Who was the Democratic nominee for president in 1928? Al Smith. Right. Now the toughie. When is Chicken out open with that good Chicken Out Chicken. Oh, I. Oh, I'm sorry, Mrs. Armbruster.
